Fighting the Maoists - Nepal

King Gyanendra has been widely criticised for dismissing the government in Nepal and declaring a state of emergency. But his supporters claim he was forced to do this to fight the Maoists.

"Democracy was blamed for all the corruption and everything," laments journalist Prateek Pradhan. "Certain powerbrokers are trying to root it out from this country." While the King traditionally receives strong support, people don't trust politicians. Caught in the crossfire between the Maoists and the government, they look to the king to bring peace. Since the Maoist uprising began, more than 11,000 have been killed. The army controls the cities and major roads and the Maoists the countryside. The army claims to have the upper hand but it lacks the strength to crush them completely.

my cousin use to be in maoist rebellion , he knew head of the group and he said he only used them to get what he wanted but mostly the group originated because non equal rights and other shit like that...

Communist only are good at revolution. Once they take control everything falls apart and they have to create false threats to maintain power. The cold war is over and the communists lost very badly. Freedom and liberty for the people is the only solution anywhere in the world. The US can only do so much. Freedom loving people unite and defeat communism everywhere !
