I LOVE that noise. I grew up under that noise but it wasn't a "bad weather" runway, it was active all the time. Funny, now that I don't live there anymore I don;t get to hear it anymore. :(

Its kinda stupid people have to complain about aircraft noise I my self as a planespotter would kill to live in the flight path closest to any airport! Thats not the stupid part, Its stupid people complain about somthing so important and Imaginative.

This noise is nothing. Just be glad you don't live in the 1960s or 70s. The Decibel levels on average were 98-115db for aircraft landing.
The engines of today are very quiet compared to a JT4 or JT3D powerplant.
