The SL3 is no heavier than many freestanding two-person tents, making it the new poster child for space-to-weight ratio in the suddenly intriguing category of three-person shelters. It's so spacious, we've nicknamed it "The Plaza."

  • I'm 6'1 and I don't mind the smaller doors.

To me, they give less of a chance for bugs and mosquitos getting in.

    Huge tent!

I picked this over the REI Quarter Dome T3 Plus, which is even longer and wider.

Kinda glad I found the BAEMSL3 on ebay for $250, amazing deal!

  • HumbleOutdoors offers the Big Agnes Emerald Mountain SL3 for just $356 with a Free Footprint and Free Shipping!

  • I wonder if Big Agnes would fit into the tent. It's a 2 man tent and a One Agnes. Seriously, nice tent!

  • what brand of coat is he wearing i want one!

  • My question exactly. Just about the first thing you tell us is what you don't like.

  • Bio:He points out in the video that a reason he chose it for EDITORS' Choice was due to the large, turning vesitbule and cover. And in a video like this we expect the flaws to be pointed out. That is a way we can determine what tent is best to buy. Everyone decides which flaws they are willing to accept, before purchase.

  • hold on, you guys give it an Editor's Choice Award but spent half the time pointing out the flaws?
