Not too long after the Brylin goal, Colin White takes a penalty. Looks like John Madden blew his only golden opportunity? No, because he gets a second chance, almost like deja vu except this time his wrister beats Ed Belfour for a short handed goal to put the Devils up 2-1!
Just over a minute after the Madden goal, Brian Rafalski picks the puck up at center ice with a head of steam, cuts past Sergei Zubov and puts a shot under Belfour to make the score 3-1 Devils!
