Sonny releases Rising Star into the wild.

I did not dub this scene. That's the music used on my dvd. I can't help it if it's not the original soundtrack. Please don't blame me for it.

  • Thanks for letting me know. Wow - too bad the DVD ruined it with that corny music and not the beautiful music of the original score. Nonetheless, thanks for posting. Cheers!

  • @fahnke My pleasure. Now I'm anxious to hear the original score everybody keeps referring to.

  • While I was pleased to find this scene on YouTube, the music dubbed onto the clip is all wrong, all wrong. The original music is quite beautiful and touching. This music diminishes an otherwise powerful moment in the film.

If someone has the original clip, please post it. This music really does ruin the scene completely.

  • @fahnke I did not dub this scene. That's the music from the dvd.

  • Robert Redford bought the horse, Rising Star, after production was complete and owned him for 18 years before the horse died.

  • I worked as an extra in that movie back in 1979 in Las Vegas. It was a very good movie.

  • love this movie...going to watch again to see wtf you all talking about with the music....too old....what??? it was late 70's they were the bomb!!!!

  • GOOD MOVIE

But regretfully Bob and Jane get too much old.

  • This is crap! Where is the original music!? This scene now sucks! It doesn't have the same feel to it. It is ruined!

  • @ClassicsRule Your DVD must have been dubbed in China...lol...the original music was Willie Nelson's "My Heros Have Always been Cowboys"....that made this scene.....the horse is beautiful no doubt but when he runs away from "Sunny" to that music it brings tears to my old eyes....just thinking about his new freedom and animal abuse in general...!!

  • omg, when did they change the music? I totally agree, this is horrible, who ever had the bright idea to remove the original Willie Nelson song??? What a shame! I am with fahnke: it ruins the scene!!!

  • @etbella3 Well I see yours.

  • @MangoRoX87 I do not see your underpants.
