  • This instrument sounds so cool! I've never heard these one-manual organs played before.

    Wonderful playing!

  • You should try playing the c-minor on one manual! Some of it can be done by stretching 9 notes!! and holding down the "pedal" part with LH little finger!! lol fun!

  • Lots more coming! Am waiting for a repair to the laptop/webcam & then I'll post any requests etc. (if I can play them!) Instrument was found mouldering in a garden shed in 1986. Renovated & quite good. Some reeds a little out of tune because of corrosion, but don't dare scrape them any more! It's an American Organ (sucks air in, rather then blows out like harmoniums do. Inscribed "Crane". Tuned to concert pitch, which is quite useful!

  • Super-neat! The song is already haunting, but even more so on this organ!

  • They had one of these in the church we attended way out in the hills of WV when I was a child. There was no electricity, just a pump organ and a pot bellied stove

with a big flue pipe running across the ceiling. Old times-sweet memories!

  • James, thanks so very much for posting...you really make that pump organ sing!

  • I like how you shot the cideo...the way I see it, it looks old like you were filming this in the era it was written. Great job, videography and playing. Lovely tune!!!

  • Enjoyed Loves Old Sweet Song very much. Very lovely on that old time organ . Looks to be in a very cozy setting. Thanks James!
