Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers have arrested the man who struck a canine unit deputy's cruiser head-on with his SUV in south Oklahoma City Sunday morning.

The accident happened in the 2200 block of S.W. 29th about 6:30 p.m. Saturday.

According to Oklahoma Highway Patrol, troopers have arrested and booked the SUV driver, 21-year-old Francisco Noriega-Perales.

The Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office reported the SUV driven by Perales was eastbound in the westbound lanes when it collided with the deputy's cruiser.

EMSA responded to the scene and treated both drivers. Neither driver was transported to the hospital.

A witness said the SUV's driver was administered a field sobriety test by an Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper after he was treated by EMSA. The driver was later seen to be handcuffed.

Perales is currently being held at the Oklahoma County Detention Center on complaints of driving under the influence, driving left side of road/no passing, and not wearing a seat belt.

Everyone involved in the crash has been medically cleared and will be okay, including K-9 Deputy "Boze", the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.

  • @A2235774331337 you're a dickhead, anybody's instinct is to overtake if a vehicle pulls over, obviously the oncoming vehicle was hidden by the one ahead of the cop, idiot.

  • Нихуя себе 0_о...

  • I like how they mention that even the K-9 "Deputy" was okay. How nice.

  • well he's pretty far from Rio Grande..

why was he still speeding away when he was in the clear ?

  • @brucelavarack cop shows no signs of slowing when vehicle ahead of him slows... instead he rides his bumper to attempt to force him to speed up... this combined with failure to use defensive driving tactics caused his involvement in the collision.

    hilarious either way, though.

  • @A2235774331337 /facepalms. I suppose he should have swerved into the red car on the right of him. That seems smart. Why is everyone blaming the cop when clearly the only idiot is the drunk and people who deem him to be in the right when he easily could have killed someone.

  • thats a driving too close ticket for anyone else though

  • "idiot cop steers left instead of right to avoid collision" new title of video.... everyone knows in chicken etc. you steer RIGHT. cuz when teh drivers chicken out if one steers left and one steers right they are STILL gettin messed up...

  • hahaha stupid pig, that s what you get!
