Basically, the XR9 is a pocket pistol with a full length barrel, having the magazine located directly under the chamber!

A full lenght barrel on a short pistol. An old idea. Like a Browning machine gun. The next step must be a pistol like the Swiss AK53 rifle. The barrel moving forward would be better.

@giftedkidrules The bullet has a farther distance of travel through the barrel giving more time for the powder to burn before the bullet exits the muzzle. This fraction of a second contributes to the acceleration of the bullet resulting in a higher velocity. A longer barrel will make the same bullet faster.

IDK if its real, but is a cool concept.

@Moonchild666Ed This looks like it was modeled in a program called CATIA. However, I can't be 100% certain. It could also have been done with Solidworks.
