  • I know this has nothing to do with recipe, but I don't think she even kneaded the dough herself. The hands kneading the though belonged to someone much older. I'm just saying! :P

  • Sift 3 cups of flour and 1tsp salt into large bowl. Heat 1 cup of crisco to boiling and let it cool. Take a small bowl of ice water. Make a pit in sifted flour and fill it with one cup of warm liquid crisco. Take 1cup of ice water (sift the ice out) and pour it over the crisco. Then mix it by hand, til its like corn mean, then slowly add a little water while kneeding til its dough. The reason for the crisco procedure is to make tiny beads of crisco, makeing for crisp skin. No Egg Traditional.
