  • Great video. Can I ask how you reduced the weight to under 10kgs for each bike?

    Thanks

    Rob

  • Dahon Helios P9 : 11 kg (with Son lighting system)

Dahon Helios SL : 8,7 Kg (wheels are very, very light)

you can replace somme accessories with carbone fiber items but the weight gain will be small.

  • Hey! Nice work! :) I just got my Speed D7. I Have one question: What tires are you using? Do you think I'll be able to ride the bike at dirt roads with the sleek one that comes with the bike? Thanks!

  • We use : IRC Siren 20 x 1.75

Light weight and good grips for offroads.

The sleek one are for slow ride on dirty roads ;-)

  • hey margouillat4...great video...your video inspire to get a dahon curve d3 folding bike. couple of questions...where are you from and when is your next trip with your folding bike?

  • I've really become fond of Dahon bikes. I'd love to go touring on one. Has anyone had any experience with the new Dahon Smooth Hound? It looks like a potentially excellent tourer, but it's impossible to test ride it anywhere. I wonder if it can fold to a size that can fit in a suitcase (seems bigger than most Dahons)

Hope that use of French was not too awful.

    Rob

  • dahons are great for city commuting where you want the bike with you or to take it on a train. using them for long trips or off road is just missing the point of these . a hard tail mtb is what you need for your kind of use it will be easier safer and faster and it wouldn't brake your bike. that's how i see it.

  • and where will it be?
