Every insect or weed in the world has a purpose - it's just that some of them are not always welcome on a cranberry marsh. That's where Jayne Sojka comes in. Her job is to find pests on a Wisconsin marsh - and responsibly prevent them from causing damage to the cranberry crop. It's called integrated pest management. The whole point is to reduce the impact on the environment and responsibly control damage.
WSCGA and its growers have a strong commitment to sustainability and managing Wisconsin's cranberry marshes in the most environmentally responsible manner. Many of our growers live and work on the marsh, making sustainability and environmental stewardship a way of life.
