Anthem For a New America - An Original - Acoustic Punk?

I don't claim to be a great singer. I make music for myself. But after a decent response from my previous songs, I've decided to share another. This is another political song written during the 2008 presidential election. Honest constructive criticism is appreciated.

An Anthem for a New America

we've been used
legally abused
monetarialized their point of views

out of air we print our own despair
working half the time to pay their interest due
do you realize
main objective is to threaten but then subsidize
our own demise

the price we pay
will be equal to the sum of blood and sweat and pain
plus bombs and planes

following with blind conviction
good intentional consequences
scared of what the youth has figured out
selling temporary safety
payable liberty pending
counting sheep becomes a full time job

and worse we know
they may not want to be
going around their town thinking like you and me

out of air we print our own despair
promoting war around the war to set minds free
but are we really
when we have to ask permission to go hungry
or feel lonely

the price we've paid
has been equal to the sum of blood and sweat and pain
plus bombs and planes

following with blind conviction
good intentional consequences
scared of what the youth has figured out
selling temporary safety
payable liberty pending
counting sheep becomes a full time job
