The Hoover Dam Bypass Bridge's 1,060 foot twin-rib concrete arch is connecting! Here's what it looks like on August 1st, 2009.

The Colorado River Bridge is the central portion of the Hoover Dam Bypass Project. When completed in 2010, the Hoover dam bypass bridge will span Black Canyon (about 1,600 feet south of the Hoover Dam), connecting the Arizona and Nevada Approach highways nearly 900-feet above the Colorado River.

@NewUVegas not too impressed with the quality of the camera but I gotta say it's really smooth. Most cameras on cell phones these days probably have double the mega pixels but still not as fluent.

Damn, I never got to see the new bridge being constructed. Great footage, and especially from a Flip HD camcorder. Didn't realize how capable those camcorders are. If you're interested, I just uploaded a Hoover Dam Bypass time-lapse. I'll post the video on here; feel free to accept if you'd like.

i live in vegas an go down to willow beach all the time over the dam..yea i have a fear of heights, i dunno what im gonna do now..i look at it from the dam and i panic..
