SCTV: 6/5/84 - "Melonville Calendar", a community event, during PMS Awareness Week, with Yolanda Devilbis (Andrea Martin) of the Melonville Ladies Auxiliary, an earnest young woman, Idella Voudry, the ladies room attendant at the Ladies Auxiliary, (Mary Charlotte Wilcox) - a brilliantly weird and hilarious character - and Duard Weiss , an amateur actor (Joe Flaherty). Idella and Duard present a psychodrama to educate the public as to the nature and problems of PMS. Watch Joe at 3:54 as he starts breaking up for real! One of those obscure, yet hilarious, SCTV sketches - as they all were.

Joe was my favourite as well. There is something about him in this sketch, something I can't put my finger on, that has made this sketch my favourite. Great humour can't be defined, and I can watch this 20 times over and be in tears of laughter the whole time. The greatest comedy show ever!!!!

@longtailrat I think he did Lawrence a couple times . the one I remember is the Night School H Q game show.

Martin Short did a character called "Lawrence" on either SNL or SCTV, I can't find a clip anywhere. PLEASE if anyone has one - please post it!! In particular, there is a skit where he can't figure out how to use the stairs...its sooo funny.
