  • @megatherium100 Furthermore, since great brittain owned like half the world at the time, such as asutralia, new zealand, india, and canada also got involved. so there was to much to lose in it for brittain if they didnt fight. SO NO! IT DID NOT have to do more with germany becoming an economic power BUT IT HAD TO DO MORE with the war itslef.

  • @megatherium100 are u serious, great brittain was allied with both france and russia at the time. together they where the triple entente. Also, alliances that countries made with each other prior to ww1 where the cause of it being such a big war. and when the arch duke franz ferdinand of Austria Hungary was assassinated by a serbian nationalist, Austria hungary went to war with serbia.(which was allied with italy and germany). but russia wanted to defend the serbs, GB backed them up

  • It's really a damn shame the survivors of this war did not go home and kill every single rich man in their respective countries. They certainly deserved it. As long as average men fight for the rich, they aren't anything but suckers.

  • @Tyne56 It is a little more complicated than that, for one of all the mayor powers involved in the war, Great Britan was the only one that did no have a single treaty with any of the waring nations for mutual defense, the question would be then why did GB got involved in the war?. It has to do more that Germany was becoming a mayor economic power of europe than the war itself.
