Basically, I'm an artist, and I happen to be a die hard Batman Fan too... I started out with sketches (on paper), then I scanned them and used Flash CS4 to animate. The Backgrounds were entirely made virtually.

hmmm i see, i just got Flash CS4, i know you use the bone tool and everything, my question is when u try to trace somethin with the pen tool, it wont let you fill it with a color, and thats killin me

Nope, I didn't use the bone tool at all... there are multiple ways you can do it, and I do what I think suits me the best, I use straight and curved lines. And for coloring, you can try using the "Close Large Gaps" button below the toolbar, when you select the paint bucket. That will avoid any small places where the lines are not joint..! best luck with your work!
