Feeding time. How many different loaches/botia species can you count in here? Can you see the Elephant Nose? Can you see the Royal Pleco? What about the Synodontis and the small Apisto? By the way, all plants are real as well as the wood, stones, rocks and pebbles. The growth in the back glass is also real. For those of you that want to know, no CO2 injection going on. Only a UV Filter, 384 Watt lamp, and Eco Complete substrate with some white, fine substrate at the top. I apply my CO2 via the Flourish Exel 3 times a week. Please comment and ask questions or make suggestions. Thanks.

  • those must b real plant im going to start my first tank and pointers would b great is it just soil and gravel ?

  • @edark33

They are real plants. I use Eco Complete. It's a fertilized soil substrate

What I did was use normal, river type gravel at the bottom for about 1 inch. I then added about 1 1/2 inch of Eco Complete. The top is about 1 inch of the small gravel.

What I would've done different is to skip the small gravel and use more Eco Complete. I also use Flourish Excel. I add 2x the recommended dosage on Mon, Tue, Wed, Sat, Sun. You can either do that or just get a CO2 system.

    Good luck.
