Dec 5th--DOCSIS 3.0 MODEM---Motorola Surf Board 6120

This is the new cable modemn thats been released in 2009. Everyone is still using a 2.0 modem UNLESS -- They are a tech head or geek head like me.This 3.0 modemn releases new speeds that are available by your cable company and will be phasing out the use of a phone company. All your broadband needs will come througha new cable box design that they will come out with in 2010 and no more phone companies . You will get all your services from your cable company

this video was made 3 years ago -- so at the time it was very relavant . By the end of 2009 there was only a few cities who had docsis 3 speeds and the modem too

30Mbps with that thing? Hell i get faster than that with an older modem (Docsis 2.0)

Keep in mind this video is 2 years old. I dont think in the summer of 2009 you were getting 30Mbps with a docsis 2.0 - If so I want to know what cable company you have and what city. Im not saying that was impossible in 2009 but its only certain cable companies ( and I know who) And only Certain cities who were doing 30Mbps on a docsis2.0 in summer of 2009. You would have to had the fastest tier of that cable company, Probably a non XP computer with at least 2 gig. I can go on..

I get 100Mbps now -- been gettin that since about summer of 2010 WHEN IT WAS 1ST AVAILABLE IN SAN DIEGO. Some cities already had docsis 3.0 where you could get more than 50Mbps down in late 2009 and early 2010. I know the cities that had this technology and which cable companies were doing it in late 2009 and early 2010. See Video post next

I'm telling you take it from a professional Motorola makes one of the best modems ever produce. They never give us problems out in the field. I've encountered a few Surf Board 6120 in the field and they RF Lock to the CMTS in no time at all.

These came out in summer of 2009- In early 2010 I had so many techs come to my house and they didnt even have one of these in their equipment on the truck. They seem to be dazzled by my new modem. But in 2010 This really wasnt new anymore, especially to a cable tech. Yeah Motorola has very few serious bugs on their new stuff. I actually think a cisco docsis 3.0 modem wil out perform a Motorola. Thats just speculation on my part. I just caint really afford to buy a cisco

I have a quick question. I put a Security PW so people can't use my internet connection for themselves. and when I put a PW. I go onto my macbook pro and it says 'connection timeout' ? whys that?
