  • Hey thanks! I've got the two last ones, they sound horrible, I am planning to buy others, I loved the susato too...!

  • The Susato is awesome!

I have more than 30 whistles...The Susato is one of my favourites!

  • Nice effort and thanks but given the recording setup it is nigh impossible to make a meaningful comparison. Personally, I love the Susato but my 30+ year old Generation Brass C with all it's dents and discolouration would not be parted with for love or money. I think a whistle is like a stradvarius violin - improves its tone with playing and age. Never a fan of the harsher sound of the nickel whistles.

  • Yes, I think a whistle is something very personal...Some like one, some like other...

And the mic I used don't help so much...indeed...

    Thanks for all the comments

  • not to be mean or anything but your tone and sound is all the same. im just trying to pick the right wistle.

  • That's because I'm using a cheap microphone...Recently I get a very better mic, so I'm trying to record a new comparison video, with better quality...

  • You must be sick of that tune now..

I actually want to know if it's worth buying a wood whistle. Is there much difference?

  • I vote susato

  • thanks for doing this vid - you really helped me to choose the whistle type i like.

  • what do think of the Waltons Little Black?

  • The Susato has a more rich sound.

  • Thanks for the comparison. I love how the Susato Dublin sounds wow.

  • They all sound great to me. I've just started learning to play on a 'toy' whistle purchased from a museum gift shop for about £1.00!

It and I both sound terrible together.

I've got a Susatso in the post!

  • The sound quality has been largely improved, compared with the first video.

That said, it is still compressed, probably due to the AGC (Automatic Gain Control) that you should deactivate to get the real sound and dynamics.
