  • @drumbumNaTub no offense, but he wasnt sloppy at all. this is one of the better drum "battles" that i've seen. prove me wrong. this is 2 of my favorite top 5 percussionists ever

  • steve smith = pure cleaness, precision and elegance

  • I love how they listen to each other and finish the idea of the other one. Thats called music. Not just spewing all the licks you worked on.

  • Smitty looks slightly spastic but DAMN he's got the speed. He tends to lose the sticking though on some of the real speedy stuff. Just a TAD sloppy at times. Mostly in the first half of the vid. Awesome playing by both Smiths though. If I had to choose, Smitty took this one.

  • although I'm a Sonorman, Smitty's Pearls sounded amazing here
