When forged over burning human bones, swords become filled with "spirit," says the Taiwanese swordmaker behind the Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon sword and other masterpieces.

  • Well, when you die what's left will either be cremated anyhow, or get thrown into the dirt and rot. Now, having your bones used in creating an object of beauty is a hundred times better.

Watch "The Red Violin" sometime. Same principle.

  • I will. Thanks for pointing It out to me.

  • @Keepskatin eat a dick. its ALL about human bones. the effect isnt as important as the spiritual aspect. god your dumb

  • anyone know where/how i can get his swords?

  • I've just found a worthy cause for my bones when I'm gone. I just hope this beautiful tradition is preserved, it's hanging by a thread right now.

  • They use the bones for symbolic usages. They actuall yonly make spirit swords for temples and special orders. Temple swords use the bones of their ancestors or saints, while family swords are also from relatives. It pretty much is the same as keeping your ancestors alive with you. Idiot ignorant people.

  • use animals bones it's the same effect you crazy man

  • I wanna spirit sword
