Exodus 3:21-22 says: "but each woman shall ask of her neighbor, and any woman who lives in her house, for silver and gold jewelry, and for clothing." Same thing with Ex 12.
How is this robbery?
I don't see how gen 4 says murder is okay. God just forgave Cain for the crime...(also, God killing is not murder, as murder is an illegal killing). Also, Ex 32 does not have murder, but God commanding the just killing of those who betrayed Him. (cont.)

In James (and Joshua, as it's the same event being referenced), I believe the lie was a just one, as it was done to save the lives of righteous men. Still, I must confess, that I don't know for sure whether it was the fact that they were saved or the fact that she lied for it that is righteous.
As for Ex 1, I don't really think this is a lie to begin with.
As for 1 Kings 22, the spirit is probably Satan, (as he is the father of all lies), and Satan always asks God before he does. (cont.)

bad things. God allows it because it's for the better of His people and because it helps bring forward His plans. There's no command or justification of lying, though.
Mistake: Just because Israel does something doesn't mean it's okay, especially if God didn't command it. Still, in the taking of virgins after a war, it usually means they take them as wives, ergo not rape.
The scene in Judges 21 is an attack on Israel, not a showing of good works. This is shown (cont.)

by the last verse, saying, roughly, that 'this was in the days when Israel had no king and everyone would do what was right in their own eyes', or something to that effect. I'm paraphrasing.
I'm assuming the Deut. verses are the same case as Numbers, where they take them as wives. Still not rape.

You should probably pm me your response, because this comment thing is annoying. Thanks.

Idiots get no respect. Belief in a book you've accepted without study is foolish. You may as well become a muslim. No different. Imagine a god who comes to earh but does nothing about the condition of his creation. After this jesus left, everthing stayed the same. Now he is going to come back a 2nd time? For what?

You really think I haven't studied the bible's validity at all? Really? I probably know more arguments against its authority than you do. I took a course on liberal scholarship, buddy.
Also, everything stayed the same? He did nothing about the condition of His creation? People got saved! Their natures were supernaturally converted by God, making them children of God, and Christians! How is this nothing? It's everything! And the offer's still open, my friend. Accept Him, I plead with you.

Of course the atheist has no real standard for what 'despicable behavior' is, so I don't know how you can make that claim.

@LifeIsSoAwesome
Apparantly neither does a christian....how any sane american can accept such bs is beyond me. I would never do the things that god commands...i am much to nice for that....
Go on and stone someone...then rape them.

@sandro: Of course a Christian has a standard for good and bad behavior: Good is defined by the nature of God. Also, I just saw the verses you quoted, and I'll answer them now. Sorry for missing them before.
@biblefarce: I like the Bible because I've read it, and through it, it's truth has been revealed to me by God.

@LifeIsSoAwesome So why is rape okay? Why do you like the bible so much?
