George Ritzer is Distinguished University Professor at the University of Maryland, College Park. A largely self-taught sociologist, Ritzer is most widely known in the scholarly community for his distinctive contributions to the study of consumption, globalization, metatheory, and classical, modern and postmodern social theory.

  • I can't believe how shallow Ritzer's justifications are. Starbucks makes you mad because they don't have enough seating? And this guy has made a fortune off of me in text books. Now there is reason to be mad....Does he even know what a correlation really is? I am disappointed to hear him talk. Petty, shallow, unexceptional.
