  • @shasta13stud Do you know what collective bargaining means? You don't think that educators deserve a voice in the work place? Without the right to collectively bargain, there won't be any new teachers because what highly educated professional will choose a career where they are not allowed a voice? I know many of us will leave the state if the Koch brothers and their goons take away our voice in the workplace. What you're asking has a POWERFUL PRICE that nobody will be able to pay in the end.

  • @ctraini Enjoy it when you are working for pennies and the Koch brothers get rich off of you....perhaps they'll send you to the ranch before shipping you off.

  • @baritonebynight I see your point but by attacking someone personally you undermine your argument. I disagree with your view on unions. Many good teachers are forced into the union and it does the education system no good. With senority rules and manditory raises schools are less likely to hire new teachers. While the experience of teachers with senority is valuable, this practice keeps new insight and motivation out of the process. Teachers should be rewarded for their sucess not their loyalty.

  • Why should I have to pay more taxes so that a lazy phucker can retire at 50 with 90 % of their pay

  • I'm sure your attack on the middle class, public and misleading lies, and lack of respect for the dignity of the people will earn you a high place in heaven.

  • When the unions are taken out of the class room, good teachers will finally be able to TEACH.

Unions ensure only BAD teachers/party hacks are rewarded.

  • ITS ALL ABOUT THE "KIDS" watch?v=-dGHFmKjIeI

  • The NEA to double union dues, i believe Article 10 and Article 11 of the Constitution and bylaws it states “it is AOK with us if you donate our money for whatever you like and if you need more just take it and don’t worry”…or something like that. Some civics teacher in HS swore there was anyway…I think, maybe.

  • @biggerturtle Oh another thing. You won't get paid any extra money for your alleged PhD (even if you had it and proved it which I doubt you do). Your pay wouldn't be based on your qualifications and level of education, it would simply be based on whatever the powers that be decided that "merit" was. YOu have no voice in what "merit" means. How'd you like that job, huh "Dr." Teabagger?

  • @biggerturtle With your alleged PhD, maybe you can take over to teach AP Calculus when the teacher leaves and goes to a state where they are allowed to have a voice. You'll have 50 kids in your class. Half will not have taken pre calculus and ten don't come to school on a regular basis. Your pay will be based on how many 5s you get on the AP test. I'll give the interview right now. Using a specific example, how would you teach about partial derivatives to all three learning modalities?
