At the MSNBC/Politico 2012 Republican presidential candidates debate, Congressman Ron Paul affirmed his desire to abolish the TSA and placed blame on the U.S. government for setting the stage for 9/11.

This makes so much sense. Private companies would do a BETTER job of preventing terrorism, because their livelihood depends on it! If a terrorist was able to take control of, say, a Delta plane, Delta's business would severely suffer. So airlines would do everything in their power to prevent threats. But at the same time, they would want make the security measures as non-invasive and friendly as possible, so people would WANT to fly with them. It's a win-win!
