the riffle section starts in the top of the lower section, sluice is 18" wide and tapers to 4" center

  • the cheezy camera i have makes it look a lot faster than it actually is. if these were conventional riffles yes it would be fast, but these are low energy vortice riffles which doesnt allow the fine gold to be suspended in the water flow. the many tests weve made with a catch tub show's little or no gold over 100 mesh. most of the gold is captured in the grate section just after the pinch

  • is most of the gold you capture over 100 mesh? are you happy with the recovery? also, thanks for posting your sluice videos - i am thinking about doing some sluicing in northern Canada using a setup similar to yours in an old tailings pile
