A teenager mauled to death by two coyotes while hiking alone in Canada was a promising young musician, it has emerged.
The victim was identified as 19-year-old Taylor Mitchell, a singer-songwriter from Toronto who was touring to promote her new album.
Taylor was hiking on a trail in Cape Breton Highlands National Park, Nova Scotia, on Tuesday when the wild animals pounced on her.
She was airlifted to a Halifax hospital in a critical condition but died on Wednesday morning, authorities said. http://www.myspace.com/taylormitchellband

Bei einer Wanderung in der ostkanadischen Provinz Scotia wurde die 19-Jährige im Cape-Breton-Highlands-Nationalpark von Kojoten angefallen. Ein Spaziergänger, der Taylors Schreie vernahm, holte Hilfe. Schwer verwundet wurde sie in eine Klinik nach Halifax geflogen, doch die Behandlung nützte nichts mehr. In der Nacht zum Mittwoch (28. Taylor Mitchell was a beautiful and talented singer. She was killed on a hiking trip by two coyotes, one of which was shot. Her album was put on iTunes in memory. It is thought that the coyotes instincts told them to chase her when she ran away. She was airlifted to hospital but died of her wounds after a few hours. Her mother said "It was sadly her time to be taken from us." RIP Taylor, you were beautiful and talented. Hope you're happy in the afterlife.

Taylor was my teacher, and I don't think she would have wanted the coyotes shot. She loved natyre. I will miss her so much and I wish none of this ever happened. If she was still alive I would be seeing her on tuesday...

She sounds really good, haven't heard of her till i ran across how a woman was killed by a coyote, what an unusual way to go. Must have been horrible!

Hard to be angry though, the coyote was just being a coyote.

Thank God for things like YT, so we can all hear talented people like her even though she had an untimely death. Must be hard as hell for her family!
