AMD Phenom II X6 alias Thuban auf der Cebit 2010

Produktvorstellungen im Hinterzimmer haben auf der Cebit Tradition - auch für AMD. Der Chiphersteller zeigt in Hannover seinen ersten 6-Kern-Prozessor für Desktop-PCs im Betrieb. Die CPU ist bisher unter dem Codenamen Thuban bekannt, auf den Markt kommen wird sie als "Phenom II X6".

@MRsuperCrunk But i5 2500K is beast for the money and will not bottleneck 3 way gtx 580 SLI @ stock speeds. Thats how good i5 2500K is!!!! Pretty good for the money. $230

that's true but I use this chip for all these things and it does the job very well. Unfortunately when Ivy Bridge comes out and AMD cannot redesign the Bulldozer CPUs: AMD has no product to compare. I have waited nearly a year for Bulldozer but it totaly disappoiting me. Sry my english is still not the best :P
