NRCC TV Ad: Capps' Plan Would "Decimate Medicare"
California Democrat's Own Plan Would Have the Most Devastating & Immediate Consequences

Washington --- The National Republican Congressional Committee today announced a new television advertisement that highlights Lois Capps and her fellow Democrats' plan to slash Medicare benefits by 17 percent, continuing their efforts to cut Medicare instead of saving it for future generations. The consequences of Capps' plan are by far the harshest, affecting the seniors that depend on Medicare and ensuring the program goes down the path of fiscal ruin.

"Lois Capps and her Democrat allies have long lobbed misleading attacks in order to distract from their own plan for Medicare, which would directly cut benefits for seniors by 17 percent," said NRCC Communications Director Paul Lindsay. "Medicare needs saving more than ever, but instead Capps has decided to march in lock-step with her party leaders' Washington priorities instead of getting serious about protecting healthcare for California seniors."
