@Nudelsalatbomber there is no "wild bird" vs housecat issue. Birds that live near houses are habituated to civilization, and their populations aren't part of any balanced ecosystem. They're feral, not wild.

Besides which, for every cat reducing bird populations, there's a do-gooder with a bird feeder in their backyard increasing them.

In wilderness, you don't run into songbirds every 100 feet, like suburban people wish were the norm.
