You cannot tax a country into prosperity, only into slavery. We don't need an income tax. Nor a flat tax, nor a VAT tax, not a 'fair' tax. It's OUR money and we need to spend it the way WE want to, not decided by some ass-hole politician. With more of OUR money in circulation, everyone prospers, proven by how our economy gets a boos when there is a temporary tax cut.

FACT: The graduated income tax does NOT pay for any government service.

Paying taxes should be voluntary. That way if we don't like what the government is doing we just refuse to send them any money. By the way we are under far more taxation now then they where during the revolutionary war period.

Taxes are an important function in modern economics. So is borrowing. Taxes and borrowing have been around for thousands of years but this notion that you can stop paying taxes and expect things to still function is just ridiculous. The problems is our military is too big and our health system is corrupt. Cut the military by 30% and revamp medicare where there is less fraud.

What we need to do is let taxpayers check off which party in Congress they want to authorize control of their tax money. We have representation. So, the video is based on a false premise. In fact US taxes are regressive. Millionaires pay an average of about 17%. Middle class people pay 30-40%. A progressive tax structure is a lie. Lowering US taxes has always benefited the top 2%, but never benefited the average person. GNP has consistently grown more under Dems then Reps. The US debt has grown more under Reps than Dems. Fact check, don't support lies.

@BBCater Congress is only as honest as the people who elect them. Its the american way of life now. "its all about me and how much can i get paid for it" The government is no exception. Are taxes high? Sure, they are. But dont feed people this stuff with small government. We have seen examples when corporations run wild. Enron, world com, AIG. People response is larger oversight. You people cannot be trusted to govern yourselves.
