UPDATE: the original version of Auto-Tune the News #6 now carries subtitles (sort of). If you prefer, you can watch the original video by clicking on the link below.

I've provided "Auto-Tune the News #6 - Michael Jackson. drugs. Palin." with subtitles for your listening convenience. You may have to enable Closed Captioning in the player menu if the subtitles don't show up.

I don't make any money off of this video. Since YouTube recognized this video as third-party content, the ad revenue goes directly to BarelyPolitical.com and The Gregory Brothers.

  • okay you made your point but there are lyrics in their sidebar. Watch the video once, then listen while reading the lyrics. Oh and if you're going to do the lyrics make them properly. Look at the original and see what they've done.

  • I guess that's due to an editorial decision I made. While the Gregory Brothers don't take grammar and spelling too seriously, I found it a little awkward use the "You gon be on very thin ice, fo sho" kinda style in subtitles. To-may-to, to-mah-to. ;-) I try to stay as close to the original as I can though, cuz I also hate it if people mess with the subtitles too much.

  • I meant making the subtitles longer not like

    one

    two

    three

and adding their initials. MG, EG, SG, AG, KC, TP etc.

  • Oh, that. It's hard to find a balance between short subtitles that disappear immediately and longer subtitles that are harder to read because there's too much text on the screen at the same time. While the second option is better when you're subtitling news and that kinda stuff, I prefer to keep it short when it comes to music lyrics. Sometimes it ruins the surprise if you have too much text on the screen in advance. As for the initials: I would only use those in subs for the hearing impaired.

  • The only reason why I had to make a copy of this video is that otherwise I couldn't provide it with subtitles. So unless the Gregory Brothers wanna use my subtitles, this is the only way to do it.

  • Why don't I see subtitles in the video...o_o
