AFP just released this ad detailing the dangerous regulations insurance companies would be required to follow under a government takeover of health care.
did anybody else notice like me that they compare the US breast cancer survival rate to an average of ALL European countries? So you're including all the poorer E astern Europe countries in the mix. So dishonest! I'd like to sse the rate compared to France or the UK. This isn't very fairgame. Am I right?
1 Even without a "gov't takeover", any recommendations can result in changes in coverage, because private insurance companies are about profit and if it would be cheaper, there's nothing stopping them from changing their policy.
2Also, you could wait months for treatment now, even with early screening. You might want a second opinion, or need to find a doctor in-network for coverage purposes, you might need to get the charge approved before starting treatment, etc etc
Keep the politicians hands out of the medical system, they are all greedy parasites. Why doesn't this "bill" deal with tort reform? Because obama is a scumbag lawyer just like most of the parasites in Washington.
if this kind of "rationing" took place in the old system, why would they try to have people believe that it will be worse with the new one? rationing care is something that is fundamentally present in a system where the goal is profit.
shame on this woman for trying to prevent people from access to care that saved her life. i'm sure there are thousands of stories not as happy as this one that cannot be told b/c those who did not have money for health care did not survive.
"Americans for Prosperity got the wrong messenger. With a mother who died of cancer, Walsh is practically a poster child for the kind of person who the task force believes ought to get a mammogram before 50. And she gets her insurance through her husband's insurance. Nothing in the health care bill would change how she (or the 4 out of five Americans like her) would have received care through employer insurance"
This ad is wrong on so many levels I don't know where to start. To use fear to sell a "do nothing" Republican health care agenda is at best amoral. There is nothing in the the Republican agenda that is healthy or caring.
she's ugly and has too many kids already, they should've let her die

This video is based on misconceptions.
