On the 8th day GOD created Black Label Siociety and his Bezerkers!! Dave Mustaine better than Dime?? Much respect to all old school Megadeth fans.......when you hear Megadeth go into a rippin solo thats Marty Freidman, not Mustaine.....

@mudvaynewolf7 but come on, we all know in the solo department Friedman is light years ahead of the game than Mustaine. Mustaine's solos are really crude, and even as a fan of megadeth i can say a lot of them dont even sound that good.

@mudvaynewolf7 oh, of course it is not only speed. I think Marty's frasing usually sounds better than Mustaine's. Mustaine comes out sounding pretty random(as in, no melody, just some consecutive notes) and not too varied in his solos, in my opinion. Mustaine is the "rifflord" and not the "solo-lord"(which actually sounds stupid XD) for a reason.

both bands suck now anyway. the black album almost killed heavy metal. once the influence of mustaine and cliff (rip) were gone, metallica sucked BAD! at least megadeth had a couple good cds after met sold out.

@emptyjay nah he wrote riffs on a few songs, but theres plenty of metallica songs dave had nothing to do with. i mean i get your point, but you cant really give dave too much credit for old school metallica. old school megadeth, however FUCKIN A thats sum good shit. mustaine, poland, ellefson, and gar (rip) thats a beastly fuckin lineup, friedman was an awesome guitarist, but chris poland is definately my personal favorite megadeth guitarist, besides dave of course. anyway SDMF

friedman was great!! but he was only on like two albums!!! have you heard hook in mouth? that whole hook is like a shredding solo!!! mustain also wrote most of metallicas good songs. mustain is a dick, but too say he can't shred is dumb!!!
