Opening plastic clamshell with can opener (wikiHow)

Those plastic clamshell packages that electronics and toys come in (and which inspire wrap rage) are easier to open if you start things off with a can opener. Then you can cut the rest with a knife easily (and more safely than if you hadn't used a can opener).

I could have had it opened and hooked up the the game console and already wore it out using my technique over this one. Try cutting along the edge with a box cutter and open. If you are dumb enough to cut yourself, you probably aren't bright enough to even use the product. Why is common sense not used anymore?

@KrystleBlair the pair of scissors did me just fine.. im still using it.. it hasnt become dull or blunted in any way.. besides, if that hapens, u can have them sharpened anyway ryt?
