This piece begins with Piper reading a letter from the son of Jimmy Snuka. The next clip is a Piper's Pit with the "Tonga Kid". This came from the "Rowdy Roddy Piper's Greatest Hits" tape.

What follows next is the deleted intro of that particular Pit. The WWF was trying to delete the existence of "Samu" by having Okerlund narrate over that Pit's intro where the wrestler introduces himself as Samu. At the time of the release of Piper's Greatest Hits, the Tonga Kid was getting over so "Samu" had to never have existed.

  • That's not the Tonga Kid. It's Samula, the Wild Samoan.

  • @qaenos True. That is why I added the deleted intro of the Pit

  • Tonga kid is Rikishi and Umaga's brother

  • WOW! The description of the video is wrong.I never knew this. This is not The Tonga Kid aka Tama of the Islanders. Its Samu of th e Headshrinkers. He may have used the nickname Tonga Kid on house shows. I never knew he had a stinf in the WWE in the 1980s. Classic footage.

  • @brat4thawln also,Samoan 2 (Sika) is the father of the Tonga Kid,I learned this many years ago when a policeman friend of my cousin, arrested Sika for being drunk in public, the Tonga Kid came to bail him out

  • @gregnice25 Sorry for the late ass reply. The Rock and Yoko are from the Anoai side. I'm from the Fatu's.

  • ...Orton's former gimmick on the back of Roddy's shirt @ 2:52...maybe hmm?

  • The Tonga Kid was in WWF at that time. He would later go on to be Tama of The Islanders.

  • @ckendall67 He later returned to WWF simply as Samu of The Headshrinkers.

  • This is the 1st time I actually ever heard Samula speak!! :-O

  • Roddy Piper the original Legend Killer!!!
