Jørgen Leth is a Danish intellectual who made an experimental short film in 1967 entitled 'Det Perfekte Menneske' (English: 'The Perfect Human'). This video is (sort of) a parody of that. I admire Leth, and I think 'Det Perfekte Menneske' is one of his greatest achievements, but sometimes you just have to make fun of art.

  • Almost better than "Det Perfekte Menneske":P

  • @Idabadidaful I doubt it but thanks xD

  • I've fallen asleep while reading and lying like that - I always end up smacking myself in the face with my book.

  • @ks4isu Hahaha that has happened to me quite a few times as well xD

  • Out of interest, what did you just die of? I lie down when I read a lot and to be honest I'm a bit anxious about it now...

  • @Matella15 I honestly do not know. It sometimes just happens. Dying and all.

  • The delivery of that "I'm dead" at the end was brilliant :)

  • @gregvstheuniverse I love your comment :D

  • I respect the perfect human for dying AND not losing his place in his book.

  • i used to be the perfect human, then i took an arrow to the knee

  • Watching Simon die was one of the saddest moments in my life. :D

  • and thats art.

  • Hahaha! Love it!

  • Have you watched De fem benspænd by Lars Von Trier? This parody could've been one of the obstructions! :D

  • @1992Jarhead Your version is much more fun than this one, which YouTube wont let me post a link to but which includes this bit, watch?v=3R4E1nm6SYw, which is a tad obscure.

  • I like the dying part at the end. Totally my type of humor. And what would be the greatest works of art if they couldn't be made fun of?
