The was mention that Hunza's Gurney Paragon was converted from Educational Land? Did Hunza buy this property at low rates and upon conversion now stand to make huge profits even without a single building being built? Is this a new trend of Land Grabbing in Malaysia? How can the conversions be so easily made when there are objections from the local residents? This stinks. Either the Authorities are Corrupted or Incompetent!

In no "developed" country a project of such madness would get approval. Why here in Penang, is it just political favouritism ?

What a sad story and an opportunity lost for ever. Just think about the many trees, hundreds of years old, that will have die.

This is really bad. Using taxpayers money to create more traffic jams and enviromental issues. Everyone should protest to this development. Penangwatch,when are u going to organize a rally, since even the press reports are misleading. That's the only way you can get notice.
