MrDeaps video is accurate. There are others now using a much more controlled comparison by wiring the controllers together simultaneously. A video comparing the Hori RAPV vs the Mad Catz TE sticks using the same technique also shows hardware discrepancies at the controller level

does this apply to every single game? like would this happen in bayonetta or mortal kombat 9 or dark souls? does this happen on EVERY ps3 game?

@Chronospherics This and they should be run on a CRT TV or computer monitor. The input lag would be found to be less than a frame (16.67ms) and make no difference to any human eye. This demonstration shows the input lag before either reacts is larger than the difference between the 2.

@Chronospherics 360 sticks also work for PCs. In fact in my experience they work better, without having to manually install drivers

How come you didn't post details on the setup of both PS3/360? Are they both HDMI? both are known to add a little input lag under HDMI output. Component is better, if one were component and one were HDMI, that'd account for 'about 2 frames' of difference between them.
