Russian war games

The Center-2008 military exercises took place near the city of Orenburg on the Volga river. More then 12,000 troops participated along with about 1,000 combat ground vehicles, jet aircraft, helicopters and rocket artillery. The war games reached its peak on September 26 with the arrival of Commander-in-Chef, President Dmitry Medvedev.

@6digit Iraq and Afghanistan arent really good examples, they have outdated equipment and little if any training. The majority of the iraqi army didnt even fight and afghanistan is just mountains with small villages. Georgia had Modern NATO weapons and top of the line training. So when the US defeats a third world country with antique soviet weapons it isnt saying much, but defeating a US ally with a modern standing army in a week speaks volumes...

can any Russian who reads this tell me, what is your view of America now? Do you have civil safety exercises in case of nuclear or biological war, and nuclear fall out? Do you really want to be Capitalists, or is the reason you still have all the old KGB running the show just to fool Americans into apathy, which is working by the way. I'd love to hear some russian opinions on what's coming, because I think there will soon be a war, which Russia will win.
