This is a really gripping film about an undercover agent (Deborah Winger) trying to infiltrate a white supremacist group. Berenger plays Gary, one of the suspected supremacists. Winger finds herself drawn to Gary.

Buy the movie on Amazon! It's really good, but has a disturbing theme (about racism and white supremacy) and some violence.

Very good movie - based on the real life character Bob Mathews - who formed "The Order". Tom Berrenger is very well cast and had the same charisma and sex appeal that Bob Mathews had in real life. The politics are of course "rough", but all should understand that these pissed off White Americans had real, legitimate "issues" with powerful, elites. 2 Middle Eastern Neo Con wars later and another one on the way (Iran) - these patriots were proven right in most ways.

@AliceMarr Yes, yes, you are so right. We are supposed to hate him but it's very hard...that is definitely a sign of good acting. Um, and the fact that he's so stunning-looking doesn't help me hate him, either. They cast him because of that, too. They WANTED that character to be hot as all hell.

This movie is absolutely fantastic. Gripping, depressing, sad, touching. Tom Berenger is sexy beyond belief. It's just really well done. I just wished the Katie character didn't dress so dumpy...LOL. Anyway, yes it is very disturbing and dark. A total must see...it is available on streaming on Netflix!

@steventhestudent yea...no thanks how about they just get over themselves? i like that option a lot better. not gonna beg someone to change their bad ways. and yea, it's extremely hard to imagine them as real people--hating the guts outta people they've never even met before--even f***ing innocent children. that's truly inhumane. and sadly, it starts in the home with their parents, etc. poisoning their young minds. i feel bad for them.

anyway, LOVE tom berenger he is so hot!

@AliceMarr the one thing people forget is that racial supremacists are three dimensional, real people. they have admirable qualities like the role tom played in the film. the way to reach them is to speak to them as real people rather than as monsters

This movie was excellent but so hard to watch. Tom is such a fantastic actor but in this role. ..my GOD what an completely obscene character that I absolutely hated and yet somehow felt sorry for at the end and even ending up shedding a tear or two for. I guess that is good acting. Just uncomfortable the entire film.
