Winter in Canada. Elissa Gabbai

I have another version of this song by Mireille Matthieu up on my channel; it is the most popular video amongst my offerings. Therefore, when I was offered a file off the original recording by Elissa Gabbai, I jumped at it. I paired it with photos of the Russian countryside in winter, and, I think this is one of my more integrated and inspired productions.

Also, it gave me a break from my translation work, which has taken all my free time. As long as the crisis in Serbia persists, I have a duty to provide material in English on the situation. I beg your understanding.

These are lovely photos, and Russia and Canada have a lot of the same temperate zones, so I totally relate to the 'snow' factor.

But, there aren't trees like that, usually.

Ich kann mich vielen Kommentatorinnen und Kommentatoren nur anschliessen. Ein sehr, sehr schönes und romantisches Lied das mir immer wieder die Nackenhaare aufstellen lässt.

Meine Schwester (Jahrgang 1951) konnte das Lied astrein und sehr stimmungsvoll nachsingen. In unserer bescheiden Wohnung in Winterthur wurde es jeweils sehr stimmungsvoll. Leider ist sie im Juli 2002 an Krebs gestorben. Ich vermisse sie und wünsche ihr viele stimmungsvolle Lieder. Dein Bruder Heinz
