RE: Synergy Mac to Window Configuring Mac as Server! Easy! (Indepth version)

oday I am going to show you how to connect your Macs Keyboard and Mouse to a PC using Synergy and SynergyKM!

1. You will need to know the Name of the Mac and PC. IN my case my macs Name is "Patricks-MacBook" and the PC is "Patrick-PC"

You will also need to know the local IP address of your mac. In my case it is 10.0.1.198

2. Download the Software.

Mac Software:

and windows:

@patrick10001 Either the Host name you entered or the IP for one of the machines is wrong or invalid. Are you on a Work or enterprise network where Sharing is locked down?

Dude this made my day!!!!!! I love to use my old PowerBook G4, but I don't want to type on it because the keyboard is starting to fall apart, and now I can still type and move the mouse!!! I'm trying to use the steps described to configure synergy on my Macbook Pro running Mac OSX lion and lenovo thinkpad X220 tablet running windows 7 professional 64-bit. When i click on the turn on button, it seems to have no effect on synergy even though the windows portion seems to be fine. I have carefully followed each of the steps that you have described in the video. Any ideas on what can be done?

Thank you so much! I've been trying to figure this out for a while. I had it working the other way around (PC server, Mac client) but now it works with my Mac as the server! Whoo hooo!

BTW it not going to the same spot is not glitchy. If it didn't something else then it would be glitchy. It is going to the same part of the screen respectively.. but you probably already knew this so hopefully it helped some.
