There's nothing like the sound of an exquisitely played bass with gut strings. BRAVO!!!!

Thanks John and BRAVO!! You a marvellous doublebass with a great tome similar to a Gasparo da Salò 1590 like the one owned by Dragonetti. Great choise for strings, even if they are more difficult to play than metallics.

Wonderful! Your great instrument and playing create such a beautiful sound. Do you mind me asking what strings you use on these recordings? I'm trying to find orchestra strings that are very responsive but not thin sounding. Thanks!
