  • Thank you- mille gratzie!

  • Wonderful! Your great instrument and playing create such a beautiful sound. Do you mind me asking what strings you use on these recordings? I'm trying to find orchestra strings that are very responsive but not thin sounding. Thanks!

  • @bassmart08 Hi- I was using olive wound gut g-d-a and a eudoxa silver wound gut low c. Cheers, JF

  • Thanks! Did you see the Ytube of the modern world premiere of a REAL Dragonetti concerto? I played it last month w/ the American Classical Orchestra- a great piece! Cheers, JF

  • There's nothing like the sound of an exquisitely played bass with gut strings. BRAVO!!!!

  • Thanks John and BRAVO!! You a marvellous doublebass with a great tome similar to a Gasparo da Salò 1590 like the one owned by Dragonetti. Great choise for strings, even if they are more difficult to play than metallics.

  • Fabulous! Thanks for posting. Soooo mellow.
