hey fallshirmjeager, my grandpa was in the german navy and they sunk his ship and the british took him prisoner, do u know the name of the camp? i think my grandfather was in a camp on the suez canal too.

yap so far as i know hes been a truck driver for ammo etc

wow, my great grandpa served in the artillery in the invasion of Crete. He was captured and spent several years in afrika as a prisoner, being an aid to a british officer.

Oh so ur german? my grandpa became a prisoner in 1943 n was sent to texas for a couple years.

yup, i sure am. do you know what camp in texas? weve tracked down the camp my great grandpa was in, a town on the suez canal.

mhh at the moment i just know that he had to harvest cotton in that camp, maybe i can find out which camp it was.

do you have any documents or anything passed down? that would really really help, espeacial his Soldbuch. i used that to track down nearly every where he went, his rank, his unit, guns he used, and a load more of stuff.

ive got his soldbuch and a diary he made, showing excellent photos of pyramids and his british officer, and his friends. Do you know what he was trained in? (Panzers, artilery, infantry, driver?
