Together with the ACLU of the Nation's Capital, students at the University of the District of Columbia David A. Clarke School of Law organized a "Know Your Rights, Know the Law" symposium on the Metro bag search issue on 4/7/11. Panelists included Mike German (ACLU), Andrew Taslitz (Howard U. Law), Jim Harper (CATO Institute), Jim Wedick (fbiexpert.com), and David Alpert (Metro Riders Advisory Council/Greater Greater Washington). The symposium was addressed by Hope Goins, Counsel to the House Homeland Security Committee, and moderated by Prof. Andrew Ferguson of UDC Law.
