It's funny.. it seems like these old school commercials from the 80s and maybe even the 70s have this "glow" or "cloud" around everything. I know it sounds weird, but if you watch a few of them you'll see what I am talking about. Like they were trying to make everything look like a dream sequence.

They are competitive roommates. One has invited her father to see the apartment. This was in the mid-eighties when advertisers added a little mystery to things. A good example here.
