@elbowfrenzy i also happen to keep a bottle of the stuff and use it instead of ketchup on a lot of things. But it's not hot to me. I don't even taste the slightest heat in it. I do have things that I can taste the heat in that I keep in my fridge. Of course I also sometimes use that stuff to strip paint. Yes, I eat it. It's called "jolokia" I grow my own and make my own sauce out of it.

@elbowfrenzy it's spelled "tabasco" and sriracha is essentially just peppers, vinegar, and sugar. tabasco is peppers seeped in vinegar. Mind you, sriracha is peppers ground into a paste and then mixed with vinegar and sugar. Which is exactly what ketchup is, or at least was before they started to use corn syrup instead of sugar in ketchup. Tabasco is peppers seeped in vinegar then they sell the vinegar. The point is, it's not that hot and it would taste the same if they used the same peppers.

Sriracha is no where near that hot. Seriously, the stuff is just basically tabasco with the consistency of ketchup.
