Saanich Fire Department Engine 1, Ladder 1, Battalion 1 and Tanker 1
Engine 1 is a KME with Federal Signal Q2b and Code3 sirens.
(March 2011) Note: Engine 1 has been replaced with a new Spartan, similar to engine 2, however the old engine is still in use, probably as another engine or reserve.
Ladder 1 is a Spartan Aerial 100' Mid Mount Platform with Federal Signal E-Q2B siren.
Battalion 1 is a Ford Excursion with Federal Signal Unitrol siren.
Tanker 1 is an International/Superior/E-one with Federal Signal Pa300 siren.

Without the Q2b(Q siren), I would not have recorded this, so thanks to the Q-siren! :)

check this video for the other unit responding http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6FYO5BqW7hQ

  • Your kidding??? A siren that actually moves traffic vs electronic noise pollution.. Crazy!

  • Odd that they are running a PA300 with a 200watt eQ siren grill on the front bumper of that International.

At least they have one "real siren" in the bunch!

    Great catch!!

  • First one sounds like a real firetruck, second on sounds like police car, third one sounds like a fake firetruck and the last one sounds like another police car..
