Microstructures in the gecko's footpad allows it to stick to a spinning solar powered disc. A gecko has 1 billion points of foot contact and is more energy efficient than most creatures. Here's a kick (!) and a new spin on solar cells. This gecko loves the sun and its warm green energy!! His head feels like a football!!
All pets are fascinated by these moving educational and scientific toys. Our little green guy of "bio-inspiration" jumps onto the warm photovoltaic sun heated cells. Our "real" gecko has figured out how to get carbon credits and free energy by riding around on a green disc!! This is free green energy for the first solar flying gecko! Our gekko thinks that the green disc is a leaf in the wind! She jumps right back on after riding it (the sun!), again and again!! The warm heat from the solar cell attracts the cold blooded gecko in the morning light. She has become our mascot! Leapin' lizards!! --Here comes the sun!
